My name is Leyna Bencomo and I work as an Assistive Technology Specialist in the Office of Information Technology at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs.  Go Mountain Lions!

 

Assistive Technology consists of devices, equipment and software that enables students with disabilities to overcome barriers to accessing their classrooms and to enjoy a rich university experience.

 

I have worked successfully in this field for ten years.  As you may imagine it is a fulfilling career and I hope to continue it indefinitely.

 

I have previous experience in a number of areas, most prominently in software development and training adults in both the corporate and higher educational environments.
